Yes , it's true!!

Now the users of Dell Venue 7 can update their tablet running on android KitKat (4.4.4) to lollipop (5.0.1).

This update is for DELL VENUE 7 3740 LTE MODEL only.

Below is the detailed method of upgrading dell venue 7 3740 LTE model to lollipop.

NOTE : THIS IS MIUI THEMED ROM BUT WOKS ON 5.0.1

Things you need  :-

1. SP-flash tool

2. stock rom for dell venue 7 3740 lte

3. A pc running windows or mac

3. A data cable

4. Scatter file for Dell venue 7 3740 LTE model

Now let's head to the procedure :-

1.Extract the sp-flash tool to a place where you can open with ease.

2.Open Sp flash tools and click scatter loading , now select the scatter file downloaded.

3. Make sure that all boxes are not checked , if there's a check remove it by clicking on it.

4. Now extract the stock rom and find all files according to the list and locate them in sp flash tool.

5. Now the final step ,
                      
              1) turn off the tablet
              2) connect the tablet to pc (the tablet shows charging icon and charges ,no problem with that)
              3) click on download button on sp flash tool.

6. The Sp flash tool will detect the phone and flashes the rom.

7. Wait until a prompt with green circle will appear. That's it your tablet has been updated to lollipop.
